When I think Spurs couldn't wait to jump on the bailout & furlough train less than six months ago and are now dropping £240k a week on Bale's wages, it makes me sick to the stomach.

Very good point. I also don’t think people realise the disparity between the prem and lower leagues and how reliant some teams around our level are on attendance .

As for Bale... 240k a week and he’s not even playing for them for another 2-4 weeks 🤣.

At my cricket club a couple of weeks back, I walked in mid-conversation between an Arsenal and Liverpool fan, both bemoaning their respective clubs' lack of transfer activity. Quote 'not even a little £20m signing' unquote.

My reaction wasn't one of sympathy, and probably a little more reactionary than required...
