Gillingham vs Portsmouth

Post by Sam_Brown »

1-0 Marquis (14)

No idea how we're playing or the lineup but good to see Marquis on the scoresheet.

2-0 JAcobs.

That is a real attacking line-up.

Tonight on the La La League I (for the first time this season) predicted Pompey to lose. If my doing that produces a performance such as the first half then I will gladly sacrifice one game in my predictions every week !!!

Half time 2 - 0

We are playing well with Harness playing off Marquis and Jacobs on the left. Harness has also hit the post with a lovely header.

Our midfield are good so far with Naylor and Cannon buzzing around and Naylor is passing well, which is a nice surprise. We are getting forward quickly and could easily have had more goals. Marquis and Jacobs took their goals well.

After the last match I nearly didn't bother to watch, but so far I'm glad that I did.

I forgot that it was an early kickoff and went to check the team line ups and found we were 2-0 up. Then bought the IFollow link and the `Lads` were impressive, should have scored more goals. Then Donny beat Ipswich 4-1 which puts saturday in a different light. Onward & Upward!

Great result, considering our record at Priestfield is pretty woeful.

We looked very good in the first half, so I was worried how we would do in the 2nd half.

Yes! We were still good in the second half, particularly after coping well with their change of formation, and could easily have been 4 or 5 up at the end.

Great to see a decent performance in both halves!
