Next Season.

Post by GreenBlue »

With the money they will have received, the teams relegated from the Championship are always going to be strong contenders for promotion next season however, it doesn't look like a 'giant' club will be coming down. Also, if we can get rid of the 'bigger boys' from our division either by auto promotion or via the playoffs, our league may be weaker next season.

So with that in mind, and from a Pompey perspective, I'd like to see Sheff Wed and Ipswich go up and maybe Bolton or Derby win the playoffs. It'd be sad for Plymouth but I don't think they'll be as strong next year.

With Plymouth home to Bristol Rovers and Burton, and then away to Port Vale I can't really see them dropping down into the play-offs.

agreed - We need at least two of Ipswich, Sheff Wed and Barnsley to get promoted this season. Looking good to achieve that with two games to go.

From a purely selfish point of view I’d like Plymouth Ipswich and Bolton to go up as they are the worst away trips particularly Plymouth and Ipswich a lot across country traveling involved
