Ben Thompson
yay the season is barely over and already the snooze are talking Ben Thompson.
He "apparantly" is facing an uncertain future at the Posh should ferguson decide to stay on as manager.
Cue massive speculation that the messiah will return and take us to the promised land

Re: Ben Thompson
Still has another year (plus a year's option) on his contract, so I suspect Peterborough would want a decent fee.
It wouldn't be a transfer window without him being linked with a return though

Re: Ben Thompson
I don’t think he would fit the profile of player we will be looking to sign in this window reading Cullen in the snooze seems to suggest that we have sufficient experienced players and the success of Towler and Lane will encourage the owners to go more along that route of younger first team ready players who can develop and become long term assets ( I really hate that term to describe players)
I cant see a problem with this but we could certainly end up with some more duds if not careful like Hume

Re: Ben Thompson
The Ben Thompson sage has gone as far as it can. As time goes on he becomes better than he was, the memory gets blurred. The current Regime do not appear to be resurecting old phantoms. The `King is dead long live the King`. Time to move on!
You can take the man out of Pompey
But you can`t take Pompey out of the man

Re: Ben Thompson
I can just see it now. Thompson, Morrell & Lowery all line up in the same starting 11. Meanwhile we drop the name Pompey for "the Diddymen", managed by Ken Dodd of course!!
