And that isn't quite true anyway, Sam Folarin is a striker from the academy and is playing the second half.

Didn't realise they were injured.

Pathetic 1-1 draw against Bugger Bognor. Still the goalscoring problem, goalie is crap. We need a new manager!!

Re: Tonight's Friendly
Someone listed Scully as proven goalscorer on a different thread yesterday and he played upfront in the first half although he did have the ball in the net from an offside positionBlueinPLtwenty wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:17 amWe had no Central Striker playing! But seriously preseason means nothing the players need time to gel I would hope by the time the last friendly against Bristol City comes we will see a better performance and an idea what our starting lineup might look like

Re: Tonight's Friendly
He is a winger, typically left winger (positionally no idea about his political alignment). Historically he has been a goalscoring winger.Pompey55 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:28 amSomeone listed Scully as proven goalscorer on a different thread yesterday and he played upfront in the first half although he did have the ball in the net from an offside positionBlueinPLtwenty wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:17 amWe had no Central Striker playing! Which goalie the first choice? Or the one that we are hoping to send out on loan to get more experience?Betelgeuse wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:10 am Pathetic 1-1 draw against Bugger Bognor. Still the goalscoring problem, goalie is crap. We need a new manager!!

Re: Tonight's Friendly
I think at the end of the Bognor game Oluwayemi came for the ball from a corner, missed it entirely, and the Bognor player scored into the resulting open net.Pompey1984+1 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:54 amWhich goalie the first choice? I was at the Wycombe game and he looked very unconvincing/shaky in that game before he was subbed off injured. Clearly, not great for him to be making errors like that and perhaps on balance it is best for him to go on loan and get some playing time and Pompey get in an experienced no.2 keeper behind Norris.
