Darren Moore
If we are really serious about promotion (doubtful) then we need to stop messing around with cheap options and sign this man to be our manager now.

Re: Darren Moore
We appointed JM as at the time there wasn’t a suitable candidate also let’s face it he would have come cheap. However we have built a team on the same basis cheaply using Hughes to pick up players from the bargain basement. The only exception has been Poole who is sheer class. We can’t expect to bring in another Coach who will want to bring in his own players and we are back to square one. I think we should see out another season with JM and hopefully Eisner will finally learn buy cheap buy twice
Laughter is the jam on the toast of life. It adds flavor, keeps it from being too dry, and makes it easier to swallow.

Re: Darren Moore
yeah lets sack JM, and sign DM, and if he doesnt win all the games we can sack him too and get someone else, and so on and so on and so on
and of course everytime we sack them we can change all the playing staff too

I think DM has a lot more going for him that JM. How cheap was our current manager? And the last one?

Re: Darren Moore
Can't see the point in changing Moushino maybe they should look a Hughes instead and employ an additional coach who understands the intricacies of attack rather than all ex defendersPortchesterblue2 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 2:03 pm yeah lets sack JM, and sign DM, and if he doesnt win all the games we can sack him too and get someone else, and so on and so on and so on

Probably should have done better at Wednesday with the money and players they had... £20k a week Micheal Smith...Betelgeuse wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 2:30 pm I think DM has a lot more going for him that JM. How cheap was our current manager? And the last one?

Re: Darren Moore
Not to mention the highest paid player in League One last season in Barry Bannan (who was reportedly on £21k a week).Pompey1984+1 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 2:59 pmProbably should have done better at Wednesday with the money and players they had... £20k a week Micheal Smith...Betelgeuse wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 2:30 pm I think DM has a lot more going for him that JM. Re: Darren Moore
He did get promoted, yes. He also got them relegated in the first place.
Maybe if Mousinho and Portsmouth also had that playing budget, they might also get promoted.
The guy has lost 4 of his first 31 games in charge, we're unbeaten this season and one single point off automatic promotion. I can't see any logical reason why we would consider sacking him at this point.
