Looks that way, game of 2 half’s and all that!

As i said earlier in the thread at 3-0 nil up, I’ll just take any win.

Bring on Lincoln City (who hopefully will be thinking about their EFL game to West Spam)

More like Barnsley switched on after making changes - they were a good side in the 2nd half but we were very good in the first. Bishop had a great chance to make it 4. C'est la vie. 3 points I didn't expect :thumb I think Mousinho will learn a lot from the 2nd half. It's all encouraging.

A great result - first half performance was amazing - Barnsley were always going to throw everything at us. If Bishop's header had made it 4-1 then it'd have been all over. Great game.

I would have taken a point before the game so this is a massive bonus. I still think Barnsley will be at the top come the end of the season so depriving them of 3 points, whilst us gaining 3 points, is as good as it gets.

When I posted earlier on this thread of my concern about Barnsley getting back in the game nearly back to haunt me didn't it?

The only blot on the evening was that Saints lost again.

Not really, but can you imagine the rollocking they got at ht?? I bet the air was blue and they came out a different team 2nd half with three changes and that made all the difference to them.
Whyte at fault for their first goal by being too slow and not covering back, Norris at fault for 2nd for not grasping the ball (although it was quite a powerful header).
We hung on well and really should have scored again but not adept enough in front of goal.
I think Anjorin needs to 'man up' and be a bit more forceful, he's too languid at the moment. Robertson was like that to begin with but he has now defaulted to Lge 1 play..hopefully Anjorin will soon.
Great result...more of the same please!!

We should have had 5 in first half... including one in first minute.

Second half we didn't do any of the things that made us good in the first half.

Did anyone see the Tweet (or whatever you call it now) showing Chaplin, Harness, Hirst & Scarlett all together enjoying winning at St Fairies

JM blamed tiredness due to traveling to Derby then Barnsley, could be an element of that I guess? Whatever the reason that sublime first half showed what we are capable of doing. Pleased with Lane stepping up also Whyte although he gets critism has good assists. Roberts also proving his worth I think he may of got tired in the second half and should have been subbed earlier?

Most of our best attacking moves in the first half had Whyte involved somewhere in the play. I think Robertson could perhaps have been hooked a little earlier, but he was so good at times I can see why we perhaps held out hoping he got one more moment.

Nobody played badly - even in the second half particularly I just don't think you can play as well as we did first half with the intensity we did for a whole game. Barnsley did also make three changes and were a lot better in the second half - we still had 2 or 3 chances to put it to bed too.
