Barnsley Away

Post by Pompey1984+1 »

Big game tonight...

Will Rafferty come back in for Swanson?
Will Morrell come straight back in?

Will JM make any other changes?

I think we might see a little bit of rotation. Barnsley play with three centre halves, wing backs and two up front it seems. Could this play into our hands?

2-1 Pompey.

PS - there is still no bridge in Barnsley where the level crossing used to be so there is still no direct route from the centre of town to Oakwell so allow more time if you are going to the game and are having a beer in the town centre beforehand.

Be very interesting personally I would keep Swanny unless he needs resting but why should he be dropped? Would I play Morrell instead of Robinson really not sure about that. Robinson has great creativity but is a bit more careless with the ball. I would definitely play Saydee as we need his muscle upfront if he’s fit enough?

I think I'd keep Robertson after his performance on Saturday. I wonder if we might got 2 from three of Whyte, Kamara and Lane in the wide berths. Robertson in behind Bishop and Pack and Morrell in the middle.

Maybe he should consider Sparkes on the left of a 3 instead of Whyte or Kamara as going forward he’s a threat even if he can’t defend

I’d say this is prob what JM will go for.Saydee will come off those bench (assuming fit) along with Tino (20 mins again)

Edit: I predict yet another score draw

2 changes from Saturday Rafferty for Swanson who must be injured as he’s not in the squad and Morrell for Kamara with Whyte back on the wing and Robertson at 8/10
Can’t see why he keeps playing his bestie from Oxford as he’s failed to impress in any game so far
No Raggett on the bench only real defender is Towler

Never noticed that so much for we didn’t risk him today but he will be ok for Tuesday
The injured are starting to match last season already

I’ll take any win TBH but a clean sheet would be good.
