FA Cup draw
Chesterfield away. Paul Cook, Michael Jacobs (if he`s not injured) Tom Naylor (it is winter!)
Got to be on the telly, but I might try and go to this one!

We will win. Looking forward to hearing the apoplectic Dalek at full time.
Super Matt Macey in goal...

Just checked away allocation is normally just over 2000 with possibly more if demand merits itBlueinPLtwenty wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 3:15 pm Chesterfield away. Paul Cook, Michael Jacobs (if he`s not injured) Tom Naylor (it is winter!)

Hope it's not on the Friday or Monday as granddaughter can't go on school days and both would be quite an early start
As you say pretty certain to be a TV game

Awooga - probably have to use a season ticket holdings mates ticket. Will be a new ground for a chunk of folks as it was a night game when we played them in league two at the Proact I think it was then.

Re: FA Cup draw
I love a good cup run. Early days it's a great way to get more experience and match time for the fringe players just like the EFL Pizza Waffle trophy. Who wouldn't salivate at the chance of going to Old Trafford or Maine Road for the chance of doing one over a big name team. There are plenty of examples of smaller teams dicking over bigger ones throughout the history of the cup. Exeter vs United anyone?
Plus later rounds gives us more money to use in the transfer windows. I'm all for a decent cup run and anyone moaning is a boring old git imo!

No idea when they are announced but it's split between BBC and ITVBlueinPLtwenty wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 11:08 pm When are the televised games announced and who has the franchise this year
Re: FA Cup draw
I am reliably informed by a contact in the press at Chesterfield it’s going to be 12.15pm on Sunday 5 November. It will be announced on Friday.

As usual not a single thought for the fans that’s going to be an extremely early morning start if you go by coach

I didn’t say we would not be going just that tv companies never take into account traveling fans when scheduling gamesPompey1984+1 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 7:07 pmI'm setting off for the Carlisle match at 7am... Friday.

Whatever game is on TV inconveniences some fans - just happens to be our turn. Re: FA Cup draw
Apparently this has been common knowledge in Chesterfield, why haven`t the wonderful Portsmouth Evening News picked this up?
