Andrew Moon confirmed it on X (formerly Twitter). Recovery from an ACL usually takes 12 months. So he will probably miss the start of next season as well.😞

Finding a replacement of equal quality in the January transfer window is certainly going to test Hughes credentials.

Huge blow for us, and also gutted for the lad (not only missing the rest of our season but also a potential Euro 2024).

Gutted. Raggs is out of contract at the end of the season too so you'd think that if Hughes/Mousinho have a target in mind for the right side centre half posiiton and they are available in January that there will be some focus trying to get that deal done.

With Raggs and Towler I think we just about have enough to see us through to January - but we probably need to add a centre half in the window - probably on loan.

I believe that Raggett is one of the best centre halves in League One but not as good as Poole. Some aspects of Raggett's game is better than Poole in my opinion. Raggett is particularly good at corners in both defence and attacking. I think if we were to get promoted this season Poole will be the better player equipped for Championship football than Raggett. However, I do think Raggett is good enough to play for us in this league and will not particularly weaken us.

I do feel a lot of sympathy for Poole getting injured at this time. He was making headway in playing for his country and he was playing really well for his club. It is a shame when any player gets a long term injury with a professional career being fairly short.
