I was at that game as well and I can't remember if we were also on Match of the Day as well. I seem to remember that we also played Blackpool in the old division 4 and drawing a similar sort of crowd, which I think was the one featured on Match of the Day. Can anyone else remember that or is it a figment of my imagination?
Looks like just 2 gates over 23000 in the 79/80 promotion season: Bradford and Aldershot.

One thing we have found out rapidly...Sparkes is no left back. So far he's been beaten on his outside every time!!
Think it’s been a well known fact Sparkes can’t defend Exeter supporters warned us but JM reckons his defending has improved. If he’s willing to take that risk we deserve what we get.Trouble is we don’t have a decent replacement

I was going to make my first visit to FP after a long absence but decided against it yesterday and sold my seat. What a relief! Still all long runs come to an end. Even Man City didn’t win today at home for the first time this year!

This was always going to happen eventually but, it still hurts. We must really focus now as there are some difficult matches coming up, 29 of them, and we are bound to taste more defeats amongst them. How we respond in the next few matches could define our season. We desperately need to strengthen in the transfer window if we are to remain realistic candidates for promotion.
However, it must be said that the unbeaten run was great and JM deserves a lot of credit for that.
Bishop has been thrown all over the place again but I think he's started letting it bother him and playing the ref more than he has the opposition some games.

Ahhhh ! Been avoiding premier league scores all day saving it for match of the day - still guess still don't know if it was a loss or draw (please don't say) - always a danger reading football forum but assume not the only one that has to sometimes go to extraordinary lengths not to hear results as love watching match of the day without knowing although normally can tell if there is an upset by what they show first and you pretty much know by the last game going to be a bore draw.
This referee should not be refereeing at this level. Appalling all game, definitely favoured Blackpool given the offside goal given and yellow cards dished out which should have been given to them. Iffy sending off which changed the game. I'm very glad I wasn't there as I'd have probably been escorted out of the ground.
Having said that we miss far too many chances and don't press home our advantage, I'm not sure this is a promotion team and work needs to be done in the transfer window.

We definitely need strengthening in the transfer window.
We have another 7 games before the window opens, and likely at least 9 before we could get anyone in and ready to feature. How we fare in those games will, I'd wager, heavily influence how generous the budget for strengthening is.

Rich Hughes has stated in terms of transfers we just need some fine tuning in Jan. We certainly need more than that at the very least we need strengthening in three or four positions.
