Brilliant photo. Look at those flares.

I am guessing a local school team, sure not a Pompey youth team.

The guy at the back on the left looks a bit like Cruyff, but definitely isn't and the guy second from the left at the front looks a bit like Dave Beasant.

It must be about 1973?

It is indeed a school team, Portchester Secondary Modern. At least 3 of them were offered apprenticeships (two with Pompey and one with Reading), although I believe a fourth was offered papers by Brighton. I'm pretty sure none of them took up the offers.

Date wise, a very good guess as I believe the pic was taken in 1974, and I also have another in colour.
