Pompey - January Recruitment Dossier

Post by Jack_Tinn »

Some of you may have seen posts on Twitter from HancockAnalysis. They are apparently a youth football coach, video analyst, Pompey fan and have completed or are undertaking a BSc in football studies at Solent Univ. I guess this person may even be on this board?

Anyway, their analysis is always interesting and backed up by lots of professional software analytics. Below is a dossier they have compiled - a scouting report if you like from an analytical perspective - of transfer prospects for Pompey during the January window.

Decent article if a little out dated given AR’s hamstring, our immediate priority is a number 10.

Generally I like this lad’s analysis noting it’s a little ‘digital’ in its approach, for me nothing beats seeing a player live in order to form an informed view of their ability & suitability to a side.

I watched the match on TV last night and saw a player I’d like us to realistically go for…it wasn’t Lang.

who was it? Don't tease, tell.

Looks like Pompey are expecting to have a mad dash ending to the transfer window so nothing close so I'd like a player or two to research while we wait.

Jack, I listed in one of my recent posts the 4 positions we need to recruit in this transfer window. You should be able to work out who it is from that 😀.

I very much doubt the player I covet is on RH’s radar.
