Port Vale
Can't imagine it being a 0-0 as Vale concede or score more often than not. Peart-Harris will play at some point I'm sure and there's a slight doubt about Morrell although he'd have to be chained up to stop him playing.
I think 1-2 but any win would be

Re: Port Vale
Is there any reason why MPH shouldn't play full game? Thought he was being included with Brentford 1st team so should be match fit?
reckon 0-3 Pompey today...it's time for bounce-back day!!

Re: Port Vale
I think MPH comes straight into the side in the 10 position with licence to get on the ball and drive at their defence.
Norris, Rafferty, Raggs, Shaughnessy, Oglivie,
Morrell, Pack,
Kamara, MPH, Lane
Bishop
subs: Macey, Towler, Sparkes, Devlin, Whyte, Lowery, Saydee,

Re: Port Vale
Yes that make sense. It's a position we need to fill without Robertson if we're sticking with that formation.Jack_Tinn wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 10:43 am I think MPH comes straight into the side in the 10 position with licence to get on the ball and drive at their defence.

Re: Port Vale
amazing to me that Pompey have the depth of squad already that they can put out that match day squad of 18 and still have (including injured and unavailable players):
Poole, Scully, Robertson, Anjorin, Stephenson and Yengi on the outside.
If they get Mcintyre and Lang before the window closes that would be an impressive squad for the rest of the season. Testament to Richard Hughes quality in recruitment

Re: Port Vale
Pack is ill and not in squad. I would be happy with a point without him, but who knows.

Re: Port Vale
Pack not playing is going to be a big loss. Not just his leadership, but he is one of a handful of players that have been playing really well recently.Berkshire Blue wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 2:09 pm Pack is ill and not in squad. I would be happy with a point without him, but who knows.

Re: Port Vale
Was listening on iFollow when suddenly the sound commentary stopped. Anyone else having the same problem?
Now come back but sound intermittent with some crackling......suspect that it's a connection problem at the ground.

Yep, so I was listening to the Port Vale commentary, very complimentary towards us.Milton End wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 3:19 pm Was listening on iFollow when suddenly the sound commentary stopped. Anyone else having the same problem?

Re: Port Vale
How are we plating? Soccer Saturday suggest we are on top and possibly should be ahead. Bishop missed (the keeper saved) a pretty good chance from a corner.

Re: Port Vale
Caused a lot of problems again though. Just missing the last bit of composure. But he's young and playing in league one.
