I am glad the players record at least has had the red card rescinded - there is no three game ban therefore

now it is a question about fitness and recovery from the ankle injury

Rightly so. It was an atrocious decision by the referee. Let's hope his injury isn't as bad as the rumours we have been hearing.

At least the FL have reached the right conclusion.

Also had Tom not been sent off he may have tried to carry on and made his injury worse so poss the Red card did him a favour (trying to find positives here so don’t flame me 😀)

So what caused the injury? Was it the tackle that led to the (now overturned) red card?

Most likely. McIntyre won the ball, but the opposition player followed through, kicking his foot. Most likely the break happened in that impact.
