Re: Peterborough
Taken years off me that.
I had to go out for a walk and listen to it as I was wearing the carpet out at home.
When we scored I nearly gave someone a heart attack. When the final whistle went I don't know what the noise I made was but I hope I never make it again.

Re: Peterborough
Oh ye of little faith!! How wrong I was and how well in particular both Swanson and Sparkes played.
The whole team gave it all...excellent!

Re: Peterborough
Fantastic result - particularly pleased for the 4,000 fans able to make the journey.
Looks like Sparks, Swanson and Whyte have had good games - in spite of the earlier critical comments against them?
Given our enforced absences and injuries, this is a really strong squad performance IMO.
I'm beginning to dream about promotion....

Re: Peterborough
Fantastic result. Very much in form. Won their previous 6 I think, with lots if goals.
Top teams to play: -
Bolton away.
Derby and Barnsley at home.
Currently, I'd have to add Lincoln to that list! Thankfully, our last game atm.
Then three very winable.
Even drawing all the top teams, we should be on around 95pts. Surely, that has to be enough?
I keep waiting for the wheels to come off, but currently, all the wheel nuts are firmly attached

Didn`t happen did it!
You can take the man out of Pompey
But you can`t take Pompey out of the man

Re: Peterborough
No, and I acknowledged that fact in my earlier post.
At this very moment I am self flagellating in utter remorse of even thinking what I did

Re: Peterborough
Rafferty and Lane were both ill, hence missing the squad. Saydee injured his hamstring, but looks like an issue he has had before flaring up. Hopeful of only a couple of weeks out.

Re: Peterborough
What a statement win. One nil clean sheet from League 1's best defence versus League 1's best attack. And that defence with 3 first choice players out!

Re: Peterborough
BFTG (short trip from Northampton).
****** knows how we won that! A moment of magic from Yengi the difference maker. We’d have lost this game this time last season. Crowd was amazing. Best I’ve heard us in a long time
Just seen the stats. 16 shots with 4 on target for us vs 15 shots and 1 on target for Posh. Really didn’t feel that close. I felt like Posh had the better chances and more clinical finishing would have easily seen us 2 or 3 down by half time.
Much better in the second half. Felt we were exposed on the wings a few times and allowing Posh players to get a little too comfortable near our box but ultimately not playing well and still winning is a trait any championship winning team needs and think we saw that today.

You have met me.before so know my voice. I can only describe it as a remix of being being kicked in the balls, a small dog being ran over by a steam roller and a man that spent too long ooop north saying get the ****** in while fist pumping up a pedestrian arcade like I was Klopp at the Kop.
