Sportmouth I have posted here a few times and had disagreements it’s the nature of the beast If you look at other football forums they are very much like ours. At the end of the day it’s all about different opinions the one thing we do all agree with is the devoted support of our team.

It's the whole 'Ive got to announce my departure' thing that makes me laugh. I'd expect it from a teenager or similar age. Spending too much time on forums is not a healthy thing. And when things start to feel personal it's time for a break from them.

SportMouth...I have posted negative views re players in particular and had adverse comments in return but if those comments become personal or OTT I simply don't continue the 'debate' and let them get on with it. It's really not possible to have a debate with some people who are obtuse or intransigent in their views.

Dramatic self-publicism I believe it is termed NSR.
The most common form being in WhatsApp of Facebook where said publicist states "my life has turned to *****" and their contacts respond with "oh no, what on Earth has happened?" to which the publicist replies "DM me and I'll tell you".

Anyway @sportsmouth don't leave, I for one find your posts rather informative and Im sure i speak for the silent majority on this.

I enjoy popping in here. Any interaction with humans requires a thick skin. I see no point in focusing on the minority of unpleasant things you will always come across. Still, if anyone doesn’t like it here there’s no point in staying.

An appalling term used to try and sway opinions when there are no facts or evidence of anyone speaking up on a subject - very manipulative. Am not saying you're doing that BA, but I've seen it used in the media by MP's and the like. It's a vacuous phrase.

Agree absolutely NSR.
In this case though I was using the term silent majority literally. There are a lot of absent posters who choose to read only, not post. I arrogantly was voicing an opinion from them (though my assumption of their views are unqualified).
