Re: Booing national anthems
Also the signing of our National Anthem during the game is, perhaps, more to antagonise the opposition supporters as much as national pride. Nevertheless, booing any countries National Anthem is disrespectful, even if it is retaliation for past events. The Irish crowd made sure ours couldn't be hea...

Re: Lineker
Personally i think it's more important that it's a good presenter than an ex-footballer, so Mark Chapman or Dan Walker for me.

Re: The path to survival
I think there's a distinction to be made between 'sustainability' and 'self-sustaining'. The latter is only spending what you take in, which we weren't even doing in League One. That may change this season with the income the Club will receive as a Championship club. The Club can be 'sustainable' a...

Re: Omen?
Sorry all, but my streak had to end sooner or later, and once the first went in the result was never really in doubt. Sunderland were up for it both on and off the pitch. By comparison, we lacked energy, intent, composure, and were out thought as well as out fought. Could be a very long season on t...

Omen?
Off to Fratton tomorrow, for the first time since 2nd October 2021. Coincidentally, on that occasion we beat Sunderland 4-0 and, whilst i don't expect a repeat scoreline, I am hoping my record of not seeing Pompey lose a match since 2017 can continue.
