Re: Ticket options

So not only will fans not be there but only a few will be priveleged to see the games at all. What a yawn. I imagine anyone who wants to watch the game will be able to. It's just about if they want to pay for it or not. I can't think of many cases people won't be able to watch it if they really wan...

Re: Music that Portsmouth have run out to

"Portsmouth" is not by Mike Oldfield, it is a Playford dance tune from the series of publications called the Compleat Dancing Master between 1651 and 1728. I don't know for certain but I suspect that Pompey may be the only top 4 tiers team to come out to a Playford dance tune. Mike Oldfiel...

Re: What are you reading at the moment....

I've just finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy. It's strangely intense. I'm probably a few years behind everyone else but I'm pleased I've had my attention drawn to Mr McCarthy.

But how could you not promote Leeds with all that mullah at stake? This is going to need the wisdom of Solomon, and then some.

Re: Arsenal game Monday

I've just remembered that McGeehan, who had a good match for us, was the last player to receive the Pompey ambulance chant (and there's f*** all wrong with him, as well) when he had a badly broken leg playing for Barnsley, I think. I wonder how he felt about it on Monday.

Re: Arsenal game Monday

You're absolutely right Locky and that was what was sung on Monday. I have to say that I felt uncomfortable with that at the time. I don't like any player to be injured out of a match and I don't think our fans should have aimed that chant at him. In years gone by the chant was aimed at the away fan...

Re: Arsenal game Monday

Henry Winter is a Pompey fan. Has been for years, certainly in the 1990s. He would definitely know what's normal for Fratton Park. I think he got married at FP, or had his stag night at FP, something like that.

Re: Bolton

We sit four rows back in the north stand about 8yds Milton side of the half way line, so I had a very good view of the linesman telling Mike Dean that it was a good tackle and he got the ball in two separate statements. I think without the linesman's very clear guidance Bolton might have been (wrong...

Re: Cheating Citeh

Banned from Euro footy for 2 years. Obvious to anyone paying attention that their income / payroll was a giant fraud. Ought to have their prem title from last year stripped and be booted from this seasons last 16. As Platini once said, its Financial doping (cheating) I think he said that whilst pol...
