Re: Liam Manning

Oxford fans not impressed. Not one word about the club in his exit.

Re: Reading protest

I seem to remember that some of their supporters had little or no sympathy when we had simliar problems. Something to do with 9-4 Think it was 7-4...but whatever is still a record. You are absolutely correct, wishful thinking on my behalf Yes, I was at that game and I remember saying to the people ...

Re: Welcome to Wrexham! Why not Welcome to Portsmouth?

Yep - Eisner is none too popular at Disney, at least from a purist sense. He brought about massive layoffs and got rid of the Disney old guard, reinventing the whole corporate structure and turned Disney into a commercial behemoth - putting profit before tradition. And Lord Farquaad in Shrek, who's ...

Re: Floating Crosses

I guess sometimes its just the easy option. A bit of time, a bit of space, the ball rolling along smoothly and at the right pace - so float it over and see what happens. After all, the more often it gets in that danger area the more often its going to lead to a goal. And not that Jack Grealish is ev...

Re: Match Day...

Sounds a great game. I was at MK Dons v Tranmere - and the less said about that match, the better (McGee & McGillivray both played - how the mighty have fallen).

But more importantly : 4-0 away win - when was the last time we did that? Fantastic result!

Re: Brighton do it again

On Talksport earlier, they were suggesting Brighton are about to have tax problems, because of the ludicrous profits they've made. I'm sure they'll be some creative accounting to make that disappear though. A lot of credit to them though - its some stellar work. Selling the players may create a tax...

This is not a recent thing. They've been in place for a good 5-6 years, and it was in support of Pride.

Re: EFL Cup

I covered Reading v Peterborough on Saturday. Not a great game. I know its first game of the season and all that, but bar a fluke of a goal, neither side looked very threatening. Mason-Clark looked ok and Kwame Poku was quite direct on the right wing but Posh looked a far cry from the playoff team o...

Re: Wimbledon

Pre-season matches don't mean a thing and never have, other than cohesion and fitness. I can't remember a single season where we've beaten everyone with massive performances, and immediately started the season looking like title contenders. I do remember one year (early 90s?) where we thumped about ...

Re: Reeco-Hackett deal rumoured to be agreed with Lincoln

I agree that Hackett is a very naturally talented player and given a run he could well prove to be a very good player. I wish him good luck and I hope it works out for him. I hope Lincoln see him as first team material rather than back up squad because that is how he has been seen here. Whichever w...

Re: Privatise the NHS?

I think we should keep the NHS at all costs. It is still envied all round the world but we are going through a period where its not working properly. There are many reasons for this but it must be corrected and brought back to how it was. Our health system must not go back to how rich a person is i...

Re: How good are Man City ?

I think it just goes to show all you need for pan-European success is about £2billion pounds, the world's best manager, a Nordic goal machine and a dream.
