Re: OT - Weather
Very nice - works well in Firefox. I like weather maps that show isobars - still haven't forgiven the BBC for dropping isobars from most of their weather forecasts. Shades of beige aren't the same. I used to fly gliders before having kids meant that my feet were nailed to the ground. The old BBC for...

Re: OT - Which side of the political spectrum are you?
Green 88% Labour 87% through to Tory 20% UKIP 15% Suits me. Also pleased to note that the Greens will be putting a candidate in for Portsmouth South in 2015. Given the choice of some of the other candidates - GVJ and his baggage and that Tory woman with a mouth like a hen's **** - they may even put...

Tongue Sandwich.
Two slices of ox tongue with English mustard between wholemeal bread from the Southsea Farmers Market.
It's actually more erotic than I was expecting it to be. Quite a lot of drool, too.

Re: Calling WMatty.
Thanks Baffins! I'd missed this before. What a thing of beauty! Cars and motoring generally only move my bowels but this is a piece of engineering joy. Handbuilt by the guys who made Bristol aircraft during WWI and built to the same high standards. Bristol lost it later on when their cars looked lik...

Re: House of fools
It's been a joy to see Vic & Bob back on the screen. Still silly and still underpinned by some genuinely strong comedy talent.
The first episode made my laugh so hard, I needed to use my inhaler. Subsequent episodes haven't come so close to killing me.

For WMatty. Nothing personal mate but I find one of these very useful to have around the house for those unwelcome and unwanted visitors - and Saints fans! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Surprise-Mug-Im-a-Twat/dp/B00D1910GA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1387402260&sr=8-3&keywords=I%27m+a+****+mug Tha...

Re: Secret Santa
Travelling Pompey As I guess that you're on the road for as many away matches as possible, you're going to be more than familiar with the nail-biting, bowel-loosening last few minutes* where Pompey will blow a lead or a draw by conceding late goals. I can't do anything about your nails any more than...

Saw a BMW i3 yesterday for the first time. Hope it'll be the last time - a car that ugly is going to frighten children.

Re: Fair Point
Its not up to Parents to decide when their children attend school - simple as that Actually it is. A parent has the choice to send their child to school, or not. If I wanted to keep my child at home and home school them I am perfectly withing my rights to do so. I have sympathy with teachers, I am ...

GT85 is good for that kind of thing, somewhat better than WD40, and manufactured in East Harting, near Petersfield. You can get it from all good locksmiths (there's a couple in Cambridge, and in Peterborough), or Halfords #grittedteeth Wow! I've sworn by GT85 for years. Had no idea it was so local.

Re: Lancaster Bomber Just Flown Over .....
Sadly, you'll have to go to NZ to see a flying Mosquito. Or Virgina, US - it's moving. The last UK flying example crashed in 1996 - I saw it a year before and it was everything you'd expect from such a beautiful plane - the noise, the look, the speed. Truly memorable. The good news from Wikipedia is...
