I’m just hoping for a season when my nerves don’t feel shredded so often as this year. A bit of mid table mediocrity would suit just fine. I’m happy to trust the owners and the management team to do what’s best for the club.

The third goal in my only match of the season wearing my 4-0 All Over It woolly hat. Thought I was going to be lynched. Remember the Leyton Orient game? The only consolation was they didn’t score again.

It’s around 6.30am the day after Pompey’s rare defeat. Has nobody an opinion about the match and how the presentation went?I’m afraid I wasn’t well enough to get to the game but did manage to sell on ticket exchange so was pleased someone else was able to go.

I remember being at the last match of the season in 1987 when we were promoted to the First Division. We lost! 1-2 to Sheffield United. Interesting to look at the table. Look where Brighton finished. Times have changed.

Top of the league with none of the next 4 below us expected to be challenging at the end of the season. My smile, going in to work this morning, was a big one and I thought... what the f**k, there are so many bad things going on in the world today, I should enjoy every opportunity I get to genuinel...
