Abu Kamara Playoffs?

A question Norwich City look like they could make the playoffs in the Championship. Given that our season will finish next Saturday, would Kamara be eligible to them play in the playoffs for his parent club. These begin on May 12th. As he is under 21 until his birthday in July, he is exempt from bei...

Re: Burton Albion

Stating the obvious tonight’s match is must win, I expect BA to bring a low block and hit us on the break. I watched them cause Derby a few problems on Sky in Jan I think. Hugill is a threat. I expect same formation with Lang & Sparkes being rested, MPH reverts to his best position, (Doors cove...

Re: Blackpool

I haven't seen more than highlights but why is MPH getting picked ahead of Moxon? I hope we have signed any agreement about minutes/games played. He seems too inexperienced to be too involved in a promotion chase finish. If we do get promoted, with the squad decimated by injuries, it will, I think, ...

Re: Blackpool

MPH in midfield means that we may get overrun, given they play 3-5-2. They are strong down the flanks too. With Oglivie injured this looks like a mistake. We'll likely be 0-2 down before he brings Moxon on, and we get back into the game. Martin, wtf , is this his cousin or nephew? I hope that I'm co...

Re: 6 points clear. 10 games to go.

Anything could happen in the run in. We are in a great position and deservedly so. If we are better than the sides around us, we'll take points off most of them and go up, probably as champions. If we're not the play offs beckon and almost certainly the momentum loss will lead to another season in t...

Re: Tonight’s League One fixtures (27 Feb 2024)

Yes, but I said that we play all the six teams behind us. As I said 'It is in our hands.' I think we could get beaten in any of the remaining games. Winning our home games and avoiding defeat at Bolton will likely see us promoted as champions .

You are correct on Stevenage. Orient are currently 8th and 50/1 to get promoted. Oxford are 7th and we play them on Saturday.

Re: Tonight’s League One fixtures (27 Feb 2024)

Well it's in our hands. Of the last eleven games we play all the six teams just behind us. The pressure is mounting on every team and it will be down to mentality, as much as anything. They'll be injuries, cards and bad decisions, for every team involved and they'll be few easy games. There are only...

Re: Going Up? What Then?

Unhealthy and premature speculation, imho. Each of the top four sides has to play the other three. Those six games will go a long way to deciding who goes up. Seven wins and avoiding defeat in those three '6 pointers' should see us up. Each of the six clubs will think it is in their hands, so in sho...

Re: Some Tough Games Today.

We need to focus on our games, one at a time and if we win 10/15 we should go up. 9 wins and three draws will probably do too. One game at a time, avoid stupid spendings offs and injuries and go out from the first whistle to try to win games comfortably. Our goal difference needs some work and being...

Re: Owen Moxon - Pompey transfer target

According to an article in the News and Star in Cumbria, the Carlisle manager, says that they accepted a 'nominal fee' for Moxon. Another shrewd bit of business by Pompey, with a cheap fee and a 3.5 year contract. The lad will be worth millions if he does well.

Re: Myles Pert-Harris

He played a full season with Forest Green, so he's not a sick note, like one of our recent loan signings. He's big and looks strong and being of the fringes of a Premiership squad, he must be able to play a bit too.He is personally known to our management, do his character should be okay. There is a...

Re: Twitter Rumour: Jake Young (Striker) to Sign For Pompey

Well, if it's true that he has only six months left on his contract, then you can add another reason. That is get him to sign a new contract. However the grass was most definitely greener at the County Ground and I think that he is up for sale.

Re: Twitter Rumour: Jake Young (Striker) to Sign For Pompey

Well it's either close to the truth, or somebody (his agent?) has helped people put two and two together to come up with five plus. Looking at the highlights reel, I'd be happy if it's true. One thing is sure, Richard Hughes knows enough about him and Swindon isn't so far away, to have scouted him p...
