Re: Sean Raggett
Most managers want their own men in the team and generally replace their predecessor's incumbants over time. In our case the players from the Cowley era have been replaced by better players. Presently I can only think of Colby Bishop as the only regular surviving player from the previous era, but h...

Re: Sean Raggett
As he has said he knew his days here were over when we signed McIntyre in January but after he lasted 57 minutes Raggett still continued to give 100% every single game he played in the full knowledge he would be looking for a new club at the end of the season In any other season he could well have b...

Re: New Sky contract
I just read the sky information again I am wrong about it only being Saturday 1230 as their details are ambiguous what it actually means is 3 Championship games at 1230 every Saturday however if you look deeper into the detail they will select a total of 5 Championship games a weekend for live scree...

Re: New Sky contract
All teams featuring 24 times a season is a lot more than I expected. Hopefully we will know when these games are in plenty of notice! Initially Sky will pick all the games up until FA Cup third round in July Only after will it then go to 8 weeks until March/ April then it’s down to 4 week’s notice

Re: Nike Shirts up for renewal. Any preference on new supplier? Also what were your favorite shites?
Seriously I liked the old Bishops Printers White away top
But as we are tied into a deal where we actually don't handle the procurement and sales of the kits ourselves or the shop but just take a percentage then I doubt if we will move away from Nike

Re: Ipswich
They haven't spent crazy money by championship standards. They posted losses of £18 millon the season they got out of league one though. They posted losses of 12 million the year before plus much like our own owners an increase in shares (equity) of 14 million So as they had no real expenditure on ...

Re: Interview with the Eisners...
Having the set up we have at Portsmouth seems to be the right approach where no-one has overall control, like in the Ferguson era at United or even Redknapp at Pompey. I wasn't aware that it was like that under Redknapp. But it makes sense to me that you have someone with overall responsibility for...

Re: It starts: Antony Evans
It's going to be a long close season with the snooze suggesting interest in a different player every day then repeating the same article a few days later
Think I'll just wait and see until we actually sign someone before bothering with commenting

Re: Interview with the Eisners...
This last summer wasn't funded by sales, although the article shows that seven clubs had bigger budgets. It would be interesting to see who those clubs were and how they fared. At best they yielded 5 less points than us! I have managed to work out that they got less than us but, nevertheless, I wou...

Re: Retained List - Announced.
So as things stand we have: GK: Norris, Steward RB: No one CB: Poole, Shaughnessy, McIntyre, Towler LB: Ogilvie (if he signs), Sparkes CM: Pack (if he signs), Moxon, Lowery, Devlin, Stevenson AM: Lane, Lang, Whyte, Scully, Saydee CF: Bishop, Yengi I'm pretty shocked we haven't taken up the options ...

Re: Staying at the club
I am intrigued by the club not taking up the options on both Morrell & Swanson. I would assume that not taking the options up make both players free agents as it stands. This means we run the risk of losing them if they get a better offer. I wonder whether the club want to tie them down to a lo...

Re: Staying at the club
Ogilvie and Pack offered new contracts Morrell and Swanson the option not taken up by the club but ongoing negotiations on new contracts All other out of contract players and academy scholars released Guess Scully Stevenson and Whyte being under contract makes it difficult to rid of them maybe after...
