Re: New signing Lee Evans
It sounds like he has a great temperament as well. We've just got to keep him fit for his sake as well as ours.

Re: Gillingham vs Portsmouth
We looked very good in the first half, so I was worried how we would do in the 2nd half.
Yes! We were still good in the second half, particularly after coping well with their change of formation, and could easily have been 4 or 5 up at the end.
Great to see a decent performance in both halves!

Re: Another season in this league
I saw a screenshot earlier from the Heroes & Villains forum (Aston Villa, if you hadn't figured it out), calling for Smith to be sacked and speculating on who would take over. Some of their suggestions:- Pochettino. Dyche. Benitez. Someone even suggested going after Gattuso. Their reasoning was...

Re: Bass Vs Craig Mac
It may be fake new, but it would also make sense, but I've heard that Hendo might be part of the Bass deal. I'd personally take that, all day long. So long as he doesn't injure himself 10 minutes before the end of his first game again..... Craig Mac and Henderson would be ok as GK choices in L1 nex...

Re: Tough 12 days ahead, and then some
It would be wonderful to beat Coventry in the 6 pointer on Tuesday and thereby seal our record 10th consecutive win this year. I actually think that we can do just that PUP

Re: Blimey, Westwood in the Guardian shock!
Ever since the net book agreement went been tough for bookstores, in the end my dad (bay tree books, Waterlooville) just wasn’t profitable, he could actually buy a bestsellers cheaper in tescos than he could from his supplier ! That situation is not new though. My parents had a grocery shop in Pomp...

Re: The Doom & Gloom Cafe
The wretched 0-0 draw with Gillingham yesterday brought all our problems into fuil focus. Someone once said that managers stand or fall by their recruitment and Jackett's record in that respect is poor. From last season we have lost Clarke, Thompson, Lowe and Curtis. Curtis is effectively lost beca...

Re: Fratton Park pitch.
I thought the pitch looked a bit different for some time. But didn’t know why. As usual I’m late on the scene to know about things. https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/mark-catlin-new-portsmouth-pitch-will-bring-us-in-line-with-the-premier-league-1-8961706 I don't have any ins...

Yes, it was a young Pompey side that did very well against a more experienced Oxford. Bass was pretty damn good as a bonus! PUP

Re: Doncaster
Confidence is a huge thing - and that result should do us the world of good, especially as it was away against the team with the best home record in all four leagues this year. I can genuinely see us going on a march now. PUP. Yes, I can see that also. I was pleased to see the central defence pairi...

Re: Your most memorable sport days?
My most memorable sport days mostly involve Wembley: The 2008 Cup Final after thinking for years that I would never see my team at Wembley The Semi final against Spurs was particularly memorable due to the fact Ann and I were in Liverpool that morning having been guests at the Grand National the day...
