What a fantastic series!!
Broad’s little vudoo trick with the bails was great to watch.
Australia did a fantastic job to retain the urn, especially as when all is said and done they lost 3-2!
One hell of a second half from England..

Re: Gary O'Neil and Conor Chaplin
Real tough one for Gary that - he did a stupendous job last year considering it was his very first managerial job, and how little investment the squad had after promotion from champs. Certainly wouldn’t have done his career prospects any harm though. Would love to see him manage Pompey one day - cou...

Re: Ashes Cricket
Still all to play for I think, sure, we missed chances yesterday - but at least the chances were created. On another day we could have bowled them out or very close to it. Certainly bodes we’ll for the series. Agree the declaration seems a bit reckless now - but at the time if we had taken a couple ...

Yes, this may not be the most prolific Pompey message board, but it is without doubt the best. Cheers Rubi, I'd be happy to make a small contribution to costs. Completely agree! By far the best Pompey forum I’ve found, and I should know, I’ve followed a few Ha ha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HB...

Re: John Mousinho?
I have to say, this is one decision the club have made where I’m questioning their sanity, or is it my sanity I’m questioning? I don’t know anymore.. Are this guy’s coaching badges and charisma that much better than every other candidate’s, to warrant taking a punt on him with zero management experi...

Re: Kenny Jackett - Overachiever?
I think at the time he was appointed, Kenny was a fantastic bit of business for us - considering we were straight out of league 2, we haven’t really got close to the first couple of seasons under him.
However, I seem to remember the football was pretty tepid even when we were getting the results.

Football off, Tour of Britain off (had already started), cricket on. I just don’t get it. Apologies for the source but this is a good article. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11198581/Its-crazy-football-fans-denied-chance-pay-respects-Queen.html Agree, a very well written article...

Re: Best ever football film?
I watched the Sunderland thing on Netflix - specifically the one where we beat them in the Paint Pot Trophy, that was a pretty good watch. What jumped out was how commercially driven the Chairman was - a lot of air time was put into how they should manipulate comms and ticketing in order to extract ...
