Re: Back from the game....
i thought we were awful. mcleod couldn't win a raffle, yet we kept playing the same long ball to him. we were repeatedly defending from our own goal kicks. we played with no width whatsoever. the space brentford made for themselves by being willing to run at us was telling. we had no-one willing to ...

Re: Pompey fans launch online petition against Portpin retur
At the end of the day PFC is a business, and unless there is a legal reason, the FL can no more stop Chainrai buying it than they could stop him buying my local newsagents. The only threat they have is to throw us out of the league (and even that would be legally dubious) the FL, by upholding the s...

Re: Pompey fans launch online petition against Portpin retur
Fair play etc but PKF won't take the amount of signatures into account. It will be a purely business decision. Or it should be. It would be the same if Chainrai set up an online petition saying that the PST should't take over. You can't take a petition seriously if those signing have a vested inter...

Re: Portpin "preferred bidder"???
With regards to the other point, I rather want to keep the ties to the past (ie 1939, 2008, 1948/49, 1949/50, 24th April 2005, that kinda thing). Was talking about recent past and the financial situation not the ancient history. :D 2008, 2010 ancient history.. ? you have to go all the way back to 2...

Re: The Trust need your support now
The DCMS inquiry is an interesting sub-context to this issue re Pompey. You had Greg Clarke arguing that football can govern itself in public and if they cower away from their own rules to ensure that they don't risk a legal challenge, what does that say to the select committee about football's abi...

Re: The Trust need your support now
Saw what you wrote on POL - very good letter. According to a poster on POL who phoned the Football League this morning, the Football League are to make a decision tomorrow re the Owners & Directors Test (fit and proper) on Portpin. thanks kate, i also saw yours re the wider DCMS context. intere...
