Re: Wigan

It is going to be great going to a match without the tension of our last few games. Obviously I want us to win but the result is not crucial so we can actually enjoy the game, which will make a nice change.

There again we want to reach 100 points. Now I am starting to worry.

Re: Top of the League.

How can it be weaker when Barnsley Peterborough Derby and Bolton were near the top this and last season above us for last season Surely we have improved or have they become weaker You have answered your own question, we are better this season. I don't think we are on a par with Ipswich, but the bes...

Re: Top of the League.

How lucky are we. The league is supposedly weaker, and every other club in the league has seemingly been weaker, as they have failed to take advantage of it. I didn't say "every club was weaker". I said it was weaker mainly due to Ipswich not being in League One. I actually agree with the...

Re: Top of the League.

It might be 'tongue in cheek' or not but I think most people are surprised by our success. My view is that I think League One is weaker this season without the likes of Ipswich, Plymouth and Wednesday. That doesn't detract from the brilliant job that Mousinho and the team have done. I was talking t...

Re: Top of the League.

I'd argue we have been unlucky. We have suffered season ending injuries to several key players and have missed other's for large portions of the season. Yet still we have come through as champions. That's all down to the fantastic work done by the club recruiting a brilliant squad of players and th...

Re: Title award

I really hope people can control themselves and let this ceremony go ahead. I hoped good sense would prevail on Tuesday but apparently some people let the club down in the town. This ceremony is for the whole club and not an invitation to some mindless **** to show off.

Re: Looking ahead to the Championship

I think re-loaning Alex Robertson will be key to our success next season. must be in their mind to loan himout again, he isnt going to be in their first team on a regular basis, at least he should get good game time with us. and if they do loan him out, you would think the affinity he has with the ...

Re: Top of the League.

I look at most fans forums of the clubs we play to see what their take is on the games with us. The most often quote is "how are they top of the league" but that is usually followed by saying that their game against us is the best they have played all season. That is usually followed by &q...

Re: Looking ahead to the Championship

I think that our current playing staff is short of Championship quality players and can be pigeon holed in three different categories. Those players that have Championship ready quality, those players that might develop into Championship quality and those that are not going to make it. I think in th...

Re: Looking ahead to the Championship

This is the period where sentiment & loyalty goes out of the window very often. A promoted team often have a clear out of players that the club doesn't deem good enough for the next level above. Going from League Two to League One doesn't mean too much change. Going higher from League One to Cha...

Re: Will We Get The Job Done?

I knew we would do it. I had never been more confident about Pompey than at any other time.

Further good news is that I have passed my audition to become a model advertising a well known brand of incontinence underwear.

Re: The stay at home match thread.

What a horrible evening. Until we went ahead! Actually I quite agree with this. I don't think I have squirmed so much during a game as last night's. I didn't think we were going to win, in fact I thought we were going to lose heavily. Barnsley had out played us for large portions of the game and pr...
