Charity stuff thats close to me...

Post by formerly known as »

My lovely son, Nathan (I know a few of you have met) is running for himself and his lovely Mum in the Brighton marathon, she took her own life whilst suffering with depression a year and a bit ago...A couple of years before his uncle, my brother did the same thing...

This charity is a superb organisation that helps the survivors of suicide through many hurdles they will always face. Please, please don't use this thread as a opinion on suicide (although I respect that), thats not the point of my post...

I am so aware how tight money is, so quite reluctant to do this, but just had a couple of glasses of wine, so...

Is it ok to put the justgiving link up?

Really won't throw toys out of pram if the answer is no, just sulk.. :thumb

Thank-you x

If you (or Nathan) have not already created a Justgiving page, may I respectfully suggest using VirginMoneyGiving instead. They are not for profit and so the charity will receive more of the money donated than through Justgiving. We moved over to VMG last year and are pulling the plug on JG from the end of April.

Whichever, I'll gladly support Nathan with a donation, and wish him all the best from me please mate.

Thanks N for the donation, very kind..

Me and the boy went out for a quick Italian tonight and were chatting about the S4R firework nite (was it a littlehampton), he was quite reluctant as a 16 year old, but I made him do it, then a six foot plus Cruella deville tuned up... funny memories and I remember my arms felt as a long as a ****** gorillas that nite after carrying those buckets...

thanks again.

It's a good cause :)

And we're not all bad on here anyway. Behind my internet facade of complete nob, I'm actually quite.... Nah, I'm a nob.

Good luck! I'm hoping to do something this year for Prostate Cancer, running or cycling I expect.
