MK Dons
At the moment we are getting what we deserve - second to the ball most of the time, but having said that we have had some good chances and could easily be leading. They are running rings round our midfield.

Was Charlie Daniels really a Premier league player? He is sooo slow and his ball control is really quite pathetic. I would replace him with the Dane at ht, bring Byers on for Williams who has done f all so far. Can't blame the pitch this time..no cohesion...playing like strangers...too many missed chances and you can't keep doing that because you get caught out.

Re: MK Dons
Looks like we are playing too deep and there is a gap between defence and midfield. Its worrying that MK Dons are out passing us and we are unable to get a grip in midfield. Again it proves what a vital player we have in Close, his absence is a big blow because White is not a good substitute just flitting in and out of the game.

Re: MK Dons
The good news is we might be relieved of the stress of being involved in the play offs.

Not sure the Cowley's are the new messiah, looks like it's Brian.

Re: MK Dons
The fact is that the squad that the Cowleys inherited is not good enough to get us promoted, even in the unlikely event of us getting into the play offs. Thats the clear message from the last two displays. As many others have said it will need to be rebuilt in the summer with a good clearout. We have the means to do that largely through the number of contracts due for renewal. We cannot go into next season with the same old crew e.g. Williams, Harness, Cannon, etc.
This summer will be the time for the Eisners to put the money up for such a rebuilding and prove their aspirations for the club

Re: MK Dons
Since Christmas, we have looked like a good, solid mid-table L1 side; some good performances balanced with some awful ones. Promotion is not impossible, thanks to pre-Christmas form, but would be a fluke if it happened.
At this point in the year, I usually start worrying about players who might leave in the summer. This year, whilst there are Pompey players who could do OK in the Championship, I do not see any of them as vital to the next good Pompey team. Time to try something different, and it would be great to be the fly-on-the-wall when the Cowleys present their vision/plans to the board.

Re: MK Dons
There is no good blaming anybody for what has happened in the past we have to look to the future, first question is are the Cowley's the right coaching team to bring us success? They certainly talk a good game but they have not delivered and that is what they signed up to do, irrespective of the players they have inherited. Admittedly none of these players were signed by them but they felt they could prove themselves with this bunch of no hopers. It turns out that their gamble hasn't paid off. So its back to the drawing board is there a coach who is an improvement on the Cowley's the only one I would consider is Daniel Stendel if he is still free ? The next question is how many of our existing squad should we keep the answer in my opinion is none of them realistically they are all below the standard we require.
Laughter is the jam on the toast of life. It adds flavor, keeps it from being too dry, and makes it easier to swallow.
