Re: Bristol Rovers
BBC has them as 3-5-3, but apart from the three at the back you could come up with any formation for the rest of them: 3-1-4-2, 3-4-4, whatever. Certainly seem to be going for attack.

Re: Bristol Rovers
A bit more like it - 1 - 0 Curtis with a lovely flick on to him by Byers. We are playing 3 at the back with Harness and Williams as wing backs. Byers is playing ahead of Close and Naylor in a fairly fluid midfield with Curtis just behind Marquis.
Okay considering that it is not the usual formation.

Re: Bristol Rovers
Dreadful game, scored a very good goal with a marvellous touch by Byers and a super finish by Curtis. Despite Rovers looked completely toothless throughout we decided to sit back and defend whole of second hall which was hard to watch. Raggett and Johnson were dominant and there was no threat from Rovers at all. Our attacking on the counter was poor with Marquis again looking out of his depth. Harness and Willaims again looked completely shot away and lacking in confidence, with poor final ball and crossing woeful.
It didn't give any encouragement to think that we might be able to progress, even if we were able to get into the play offs

Re: Bristol Rovers
To be honest, if Marquis keeps playing like he has recently we might as well give Alfie Stanley a run out - he can't do any worse than Marquis is, and maybe a few days rest would help Marquis.
Who knows, maybe Alfie can do a Conor Chaplin and burst onto the scene!

Re: Bristol Rovers
Harness needs a rest, clearly the poor little lamb has low confidence and can't even cross a ball into the box.
Williams runs around a lot.
Marquis needs taking to the tip.
Naylor is a very poor passer and was extremely deep 2nd half.
Other than needing an entire new forward line and signing Byers on a permanent we looked ok
