Pompey players on the lash after the game
Has anyone else seen the video of a number of our players (including our captain and vice captain) downing shots after yesterday's game - it's all over twitter? It understandably left most of the fans fuming, but one of the more amusing responses tweeted was from someone saying there were more shots in that video than Pompey made in the entire game
... and more than likely linked, there are rumours flying around that one of our players got into a scrap outside the Astoria Night Club last night

I don't think it was - I just think that is where the fracas happened.

Ah makes more sense. I don't blame the players for wanting a drink after the game. They are just human and I've had crap days at work I've gone out on the lash to drink to forgot. That being said you'd have thought they'd be a bit more careful about keeping it off social media knowing the sort of response they'd get for it.Selsey Bill wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 2:20 pmI don't think it was - I just think that is where the fracas happened.

So what?
End of season; two months before pre-season wherever the players end up. Perfectly entitled to let out the tension, especially after an unusual season. Plenty of other Pompey players have done this over the years, although it helps the image if they have achieved something.
Next thing we will be complaining because they go on holiday.

Kinda goes to show the "don't care" attitude that seems to be prevalent.Sam_Brown wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 2:23 pmAh makes more sense. I don't blame the players for wanting a drink after the game. Re: Pompey players on the lash after the game
I think this is what has angered a lot of the fans - it was the way they were behaving like they'd just won the league while all the fans were so down and disappointed. I have to say it didn't sit that comfortably with me, purely because of the spineless performance that they had just put in - it demonstrated to me how little they actually care, whatever they say to the contrary in the press.Locky_McLockface wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 2:53 pm

Is it? I have seen some Pompey teams where the players haven't cared, and it is not a pretty sight. This year's bunch have been frustrating and have put in some terrible performances, but I have never got the impression that they weren't trying. They might have been running in the wrong direction, but at least they were running. Genuinely interested if others have seen it differently.Locky_McLockface wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 2:53 pm Kinda goes to show the "don't care" attitude that seems to be prevalent.

Who knows, but their post match behaviour certainly gave the impression that they don't care, and that's all we have to go on.Pompey Penguin wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 3:14 pmIs it? I am not sure about the "don`t care" attitude, I think it`s more "doesn`t think"

Does anyone know... is the Astoria previously Route 66? I don't remember it from my Uni days but looks like it's where Route 66 used to be?

That is the old Route 66 building - and whatever it was before that.

Good! I still have an aversion to aniseed after they were doing a shot of sambuca for 66p each back in 2003!Pompey1984+1 wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 9:01 pmThat is the old Route 66 building - and whatever it was before that.
