Re: EFL Trophy
Great showing by the fringe players tonight. We're through to the knock-out stages on account of Wimbledon defeat against Sutton and our 3-goal swing. More importantly, Marquis will be finally dislodged on Saturday. Hirst in, Azeez in and maybe even Jacobs. Certainly Thompson. Actually looking forward to Saturday..

Nice to have some positive news well done lads

Brilliant news.

Re: EFL Trophy
I doubt Marquis will get dropped on Saturday. Wycombe have got Jacobson and Tafazolli at the back. That’s a tough task for a couple of youngsters to deal with.Dinksy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 9:46 pm Great showing by the fringe players tonight. That was a pleasing result, and the attacking players all scoring should give them confidence!!

Re: EFL Trophy
Well we are through to the 2nd round of the EFL trophy as a Southern Section Group runner up. We will get one of the Southern Section Group winners in the draw on Saturday. That gives us a possibility of getting one of the following:- West Ham U21 , Aston Villa U21 ,Swindon , Cambridge Utd or Leyton Orient. The other two places will be sorted out tonight . Walsall or Forest Green will be one and the other is a three way conundrum between Bristol Rovers , Exeter and Chelsea U21.

Re: EFL Trophy
Same. A couple of my mates who live locally went and said it was a very enjoyable performance. Whilst it would be easy to say "well, what do you expect, it was against a bunch of kids" I would suggest that they were almost certainly a better side than the one we played in the FA Cup on Saturday. Some of our 1st team squad need a kick up the **** in my opinion, and hopefully this will be it. I'm going to Wycombe on Saturday and I'd rather see our fringe players given a chance and having a go, than some of what I have witnessed of late
