Should have stayed at Blackpool rather than gamble and jump ship to Blackburn.

He's been in charge at three clubs and I still can't work out if he's actually any good...

"On 19th March 2013 he was sacked because the owners dont really know what they are doing."

So I assume he'll still get paid his full contract. How long was the contract for? Football managers are a lot like Bankers aren't they; do well and they get paid, screw up and they still get paid, but don't actually have to do any work.

Oh I dunno.

When he joined Blackburn, they were pushing for promotion. He leaves them 4 points above the relegation places.

Crazy. With us at the start of the season, then in charge of Blackpool for 15 matches, then Blackburn for 12.

Would you Bill? I know he was elevated to idol status for sticking with us and for saying all the right things (at least until Blackpool came calling), but were we mistaking apparent loyalty for talent?

He was given a pass for any criticism by Pompey fans because he stayed. He didn't have decent players or money to spend and therefore his defeats were overlooked. Anyone without another job opportunity would wait till their current position changed which is what appy did. A few placatory remarks as he lets the door close behind him and his tenure with us would be marked in success.

Let it be said, he was never a good tactician, even with us, he made poor judgement calls
