FA Cup 1st Round
Draw tonight at 7 pm for the first round of the FA Cup. Matches to be played around 10th November.
Lots of interesting non-league teams for ground tickers. I am hoping for either Hemel Hempstead or Oxford City away or Hitchen away, which would be short journeys. Hampton & Richmond Borough would be good for the Jamal Lowe link. I hope that one of the little teams gets a trip to Sunderland, which would be a great experience for them.
Any other thoughts or preferences?

I hope one of the little teams gets a trip to Fratton Park.

Would that be played at Imber Court if they were drawn at home?Lost in Transportation wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 11:06 am Met Police please

They might move it. Brentford are away that weekend to QPR for example.Selsey Bill wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 1:01 pmWould that be played at Imber Court if they were drawn at home?

Definitely the police. The terrace humor options there are endless.
Div III. Call it what it is.
Re: FA Cup 1st Round
That'd be my choice, too. Come on Pompey. We demand a trip to our spiritual home, Wembley....cos we're going up automatically, no play offs, so need an FA Cup Final! (Do they still do the semi-finals at Wembley?)Selsey Bill wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 2:05 pm Re the question, a reasonably local non-league team away from home please

Chippenham or Maidenhead away. Good for me to travel, but I spy another ticket ballot approaching.
...also, good chance we are on TV.

Away to Chippenham or Maidenhead. Tickets an impossibility I would venture to suggest. Chippenham's ground holds 3,000 and Maidenhead holds 4,000.

Assuming Maidenhead win the replay, you couldn't have asked for much more local a team, could you?Selsey Bill wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 2:05 pm Re the question, a reasonably local non-league team away from home please
I before E except when you run a feisty heist on a weird beige foreign neighbour

Proper tie that. Even if we don't get a 90 minutes broadcast, the BBC will put us in the live action group of games they do (like NFL Redzone).

Away to Maidenhead. They won 1-0 against Chippenham
There's a good chance it will be on TV in some form.
