Re: Pompey Dave - anybody remember him?
Now I've seen the post on FB, I do remember him well.
With deepest sadness and a heavy heart I am sharing some news that I really wish I never had to . . . Sadly my Dad David Green has passed away
It has come as quite a shock and we are still processing it as a family so please bear with us as we navigate through the next few days . . . To all friends and family wishing to attend the funeral service or say their goodbyes, I will of course let you know details and arrangements as they are confirmed in due course

Re: Pompey Dave - anybody remember him?
That is sad news. Met him a couple of times as he attended at least one of our Smile4Rich golf days and, I think, one of our charity dinners, albeit probably 10 years or so ago. Seem to remember he lived in London rather than the Pompey area (at least back then). RiP Dave.
Edit. Actually, pretty sure he attended a couple of 'Bashes' at the Old Ship too.

Dave was quite a refreshing voice when posting on here and also was an early participant in the La La League. Although never meeting him face to face, he will certainly be missed and I would certainly consider him a virtual friend - quite a shocking piece of news.

Went to West Ham away with Dave on a Tuesday night, Kranjcar scored the only goal. He had a spare ticket and I could make it so jumped on the oppertunity.
Met him at the Hole in the wall at Waterloo and he was a top bloke and made sure I made my train back to Portsmouth after the game - top bloke and probably already having a word with the big man about sorting out our current form!
All the best in whatever comes next - you smashed it down here!

Never met Dave but exchanged a few PM's and always a very fair and thoughtful man.
R.I.P. Dave and condolences to his family and friends.

I have only just seen this. I knew Dave and parked in his parking area when we beat Manu in 2008. RIP Mate & condolences to his Family

Always sad to here another poster has left for good, I met Dave once, at the Eldon arms if I remember rightly, though much about that night I don't remember
RIP Dave, a proper, nice bloke.
