love that headlines are that he is going, and yet in the report they say that Mous will tell all the players tomorrow, in other words we are just guessing to sell a story
silly season is starting early

Re: Clarke Robertson
I remember reading the old News & Football Mail Pompey reporter Mike Neasom's biography where he was talking about how stories were reported. He said that he was given & knew lots of inside information but he had an agreement on how it was reported in print. He would dig around and find out things and ask the club what could be reported, & how it could be reported. Apparently he would be told things off the record and then he would ask what and how he could report whatever the item was. Sometimes he would be told he could hint at things or partial bits of a story. Or even report it as his veiw. So very often you would see a report that Pompey were interested in a certain player or certain players were leaving that looked as Neasom was making a quess on what was happening. I wouldn't know if this arrangement still holds, of course, but maybe this Robertson story is something the News has got hold of and issuing the story as a hunch. Or maybe they are just trying to sell papers and it's all cack.

Re: Clarke Robertson
he will be one of the higher wages at the club and ultimately I suspect the decision is that the money can be better spent elsewhere. if Barnard can be signed then he and Towler seem to be first choice as a pairing with Raggett available as the third choice centre half.

Re: Clarke Robertson
He a good player when he plays but have some of his injuries this season been down to some of Cowleys training methods. We did see some stats from the medical team highlighting an usually high injury rate under Cowley compared to other managers.
