You can take the man out of Pompey
But you can`t take Pompey out of the man

Re: Wednesday promoted
glad to see them promoted. Given the pts they had during the season - and coming back from 0-4 vs Peterborough - you can't say they have not earnt promotion.
Barnsley, Peterborough, Bolton, Wigan, Blackpool and Reading should start next season as the teams to beat in L1 and Pompey's main rivals.

I think Wigan might have a few too many problems next season. Reading have a few issues too I think?Jack_Tinn wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 7:30 pm glad to see them promoted. Will be interesting to see if Barnsley hold on to their manager (talk of him going to Huddersfield) and how many players they lose or keep.
I think as a general rule the league is a bit weaker next season, wouldn't rule derby out the running think their embargo has been lifted.
By and large I think it's a more even playing field this coming season with Ipswich and Wednesday gone.

Re: Wednesday promoted
The bookies, at this early stage, have Derby as favourites, followed by Bolton, Barnsley, Peterborough and Reading.
Pompey are 6th favourites at around 10/1.
I think we will need to recruit well, and hold on to Colby, to justify these odds but, as ever, I am optimistic.

Optimistic as well here, think we stand a better chance ref recruitment with Hughes & Mousinho.
