Swanwick Saint Memorial Cup 8

Post by uspompeyfan »

After our first ever defeat last seaosn, we want the Cup to come back with Blue and White ribbons.

We are looking at 8 rounds, commencing March 12th: I have a list of 8 players - 6 based on Form in all competitions, 2 based on Manager's choice (because I can :-) ). I have also listed a couple of reserves in case the appointed players don't want to play.

Players need to commit to all 8 rounds..... this year it's pay-back time.

Please reply on the thread if you can participate:

1 Schmindie - Overall leader
2 That's Rich - Ever present and second overall
3 Cincinatti Kid - Third overall
4 This Time Next Year - 5th overall - our only rookie in this competition
5 Sunday Girl - 5th Overall - sadly declined the offer, but we have a replacement.
6 Daughter of USPF - 6th highest Pompey predictor plus an ever-present
7 Fratton End Exile - 7th highest Pompey predictor plus first Captain's choice
8 Pompeyfan200 - The most consistent one-on-one players and best pompey record over 7 years in SSMC

Three reserves:
Selsey Bill - Currently 2 time Chumps League winner - will take the place of Sunday Girl
Surkdidat - Based on Overall standing
Pompey Junglist - Based on overall standing and previous record.

Morgan has already agreed on the basis that she'll beat me in the cup this week.

8 rounds will see the 8 Pompey predictors play the 8 Saints predictors in head-to-head competition.

Pompey predict 4 rounds of matches, Saints will also predict 4 rounds - points will be based on La La League scoring. Updates will go out every week. Just predict and let me do the rest as usual :-)

I'm in and honoured to be selected skip.

Do we have to predict additional games, or do you scoop up our usual la la predictions and use them?

The games will come from different leagues probably - you send them to me via PM only, not on the thread - if they are the same as La La ones, then I will just take them as copied.

Wow! Shows an upturn in my form, even being nominated as a sub. I would happily be involved, although I cannot guarantee how successful I would be!!
