Re: Salford game
I do, because I give a **** about every game.
I am not hopeful though. So much for our dreams of being the first team to retain the trophy...

Re: Salford game
The chance to win a trophy and see our team play at Wembley? The question should be more why would anyone not give a s*** about it?
At the end of the day football is all about the "moments" and being the first team to retain the EFL Trophy and yet another Wembley final definitely falls into that category for me.
In years to come no one is going look back at the history of the club and give a crap about making the playoffs one year or narrowly missing out on promotion. Hell in a few years time we'll have forgotten about the whole Kenny debacle and poor run of form we're now in. But what will be there for all to see and never to be doubted is an extra entry for winning another cup and not only that, but being the first team to retain it!

Re: Salford game
Well, I've bought my programme for the game, so I must have some interest.
This is basically our chance to get something from this season to celebrate. Otherwise, we will just be looking back in May remembering how horrible the second half has been. Hopefully the players will have the same mindset; forget the league, forget Jackett, forget the summer, we are playing at Wembley and want a winner's medal.

Re: Salford game
I'm not embarrassed to admit I do. Probably a failing of mine, but I care way too much about Pompey, and every game we play, including a friendly means something to me, so a cup final played out at Wembley is a big enough deal to me.

You can take the man out of Pompey
But you can`t take Pompey out of the man

I was really looking forward to being there with another 49,999 others too.

I believe that we were going to have the biggest single-club turnout for a game at the new Wembley. I would have loved to set the record, and it will be a shame to miss that.Pompey1984+1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 8:02 am I was really looking forward to being there with another 49,999 others too.

Re: Salford game
We'll get a chance to achieve that in the competition next year as I don't think we are going up this year.Pompey Penguin wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 10:19 amI believe that we were going to have the biggest single-club turnout for a game at the new Wembley. Re: Salford game
I don't understand why our game isn't still called the Leasing.com Final? They were the sponsors last year and surely they deserve their title?
