Accrington
Someone has to start. Is this the match that puts us out of our misery?
Avatar: Harry 'Brusher' Mills (19 March 1840 – 1 July 1905) was a hermit, resident in the New Forest in Hampshire, England, who made his living as a snake-catcher. He became a local celebrity and an attraction for visitors to the New Forest. No relation as far as I know

First of the three "must win games"

Re: Accrington
Is this our biggest match of the season?
Some say they don't want to go up this season because we are not ready, others say what is the point of being in the play-offs as we will not win them. I say "bo!!0cks to that!" and I am sure most on here will be watching/listening/following with everything crossed at 7pm tonight.
We relegated The Gas on Saturday and now it is time to rule Accrington out of the playoffs.
Play Up Pompey, Crewe and... hate to say it, Sunderland tonight.

Re: Accrington
Never turn down promotion; we would worry about that later.
BTW, I like Sunderland. I had a work colleague who was a Sunderland supporter and he took me to the home end at Roker Park (back in the day...1991) and had a fun time with the Sunderland supporters. Also, enjoyed myself with a number of Sunderland supporters before and after the Checkatrade Trophy final; they were great despite losing. I wouldn't object if they got promoted, but only if it's not to be Pompey! That's probably heresy and I'll get banned from the board now!

Re: Accrington
Interesting team Bolton plays Williams on the bench anyone any idea how that works who plays right back Bolton or Johnson ?
Laughter is the jam on the toast of life. It adds flavor, keeps it from being too dry, and makes it easier to swallow.

Re: Accrington
Either that or Bolton and Johnson as full backs in a back four and back to the 4 2 3 1 formation with Byers between Harness and Curtis.
We will soon find out!

Re: Accrington
Let's face it..WE ARE JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! Forget it for this year..nothing, absolutely nothing the Cowley's can do will make this a good team, They just don't have the skill. How does a tiny club, with very small crowds and finances like Accrington, manage to get TWO, not one, good strikers? And we have got two donkeys in Marquis and Harrison!! Unbelievable really. It has to change next season.

Re: Accrington
Oh dear. We should have been ahead early on as Harness sent a series of great crosses across their goalmouth, but Marquis was nowhere to be seen. Marquis later perpetrated an amazing miss from close in.
I suppose if you have a threadbare squad to choose from and play a system with players out of their usual positions things are likely to go wrong.
Please give Stanley his chance - surely he can't do worse than Marquis.

Pound for pound, I think our players are as good as any in this division but something is severely wrong.eltorrro wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 7:54 pm Let's face it..WE ARE JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!
