Just back. First, this is a very good Pompey team. Some excellent technical ability. First half was dominated by Pompey and although late a fully deserved half time lead. Different story second half, neither side able to impose. Then a few minutes of Plymouth play included two great moves, one leading to an unfortunate own goal, the other a very good goal. I left my seat at 90 minutes and probably for first time ever I left the ground before the final whistle. I must have been about 3 to 400 yards away when I heard a roar that was self evident - like an explosion! A game that should have been won but as other results went our way a draw was just fine.
Very moving before the start. Complete silence for one minute followed by a rousing unaccompanied National Anthem ( tell me if there was music someone - I didn’t hear it.) And then although we were not asked to, on 70 minutes a minutes loud applause followed by another attempt at the Nation anthem.
A pity some idiot fans at the Spurs match I listened to on the radio couldn’t match the dignity at Fratton Park.
Rule number one I always instilled into my daughter and now granddaughter never leave a match until the final whistle blows

Past week I thought that this game would be our first lost. If it wasn't for their idiot keeper then maybe we would have lost. Early days but.....

All I heard was the drum roll but no music. The minutes silence was fantastic.
Pretty much agree with you about the game. We built momentum in the first half and should've been 2 up - Pack was excellent again. 2nd half was strange. Argyle fans were dead quiet until they scored. We weren't at it which was a surprise. I think the subs should've been made earlier. But congrats to Hackett for his goal. Ears are still ringing as it was loud
