be interesting to see who they bring in, do they shy away from the big boys again, or try and get a big name

Re: Saints sack manager
I would, lets face it being a manager is the best job in the world. you go in with a 5 year contract, are complete pants and get sacked after 6 months, but get the whole 5 years paid upBlueinPLtwenty wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 10:50 amWho in their right mind would want to go therePortchesterblue2 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 10:44 am be interesting to see who they bring in, do they shy away from the big boys again, or try and get a big name
The stat about Mark hughes earning more from his sackings than he did whilst in charge always makes me chuckle

Loving this statementn from the club that Hasenhuttl "departs having made a significant contribution to the club, overseeing some memorable results..."

Re: Saints sack manager
A couple of weeks ago on FiveLive, they claimed that Saints were officially the worst club in Europe since March, by virtue of gaining fewer points than any other team on the continent.
Whether its actually true or not is another matter...

I think David Moyes got sacked by Real Sociedad and resigned as Sunderland manager before Man Utd finally paid up his contract!Portchesterblue2 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 11:15 amI would, lets face it being a manager is the best job in the world. you go in with a 5 year contract, are complete pants and get sacked after 6 months, but get the whole 5 years paid upBlueinPLtwenty wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 10:50 amWho in their right mind would want to go therePortchesterblue2 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 10:44 am be interesting to see who they bring in, do they shy away from the big boys again, or try and get a big name

Re: Saints sack manager
They did it with agent Harry, could history repeat itself??
Mark Hateley and Alan Biley made my favourite season.
Re: Saints sack manager
Looks like it could be Nathan Jones. (You've been gone too long).

Re: Saints sack manager
Interesting appointment if they do get Nathan Jones. Obviously he's done well at Luton but it was a different matter at Stoke. It almost looks like the Saints board have one eye on preparing for life in the Championship rather than throwing the kitchen sink at staying in the Prem.
