I’m hopeful that we will have a new head coach in place and we may sneak a 2-1 win.

On that note..just why is it taking so long to recruit someone? This is so important I would have thought they'd work day and night to fill this position with the right person. I have just read a piece from the Snooze where they interviewed the Sports editor of Peterborough News about McCann and the reasons he left. Didn't make good reading to be honest, kept thinking 'out of the frying pan into the fire!!' Sounded sooo much like DC in the way he was intransigent, not changing his format and tactically inept..just what we want...NOT!!

Re: Pompey vs Exeter
That’s a sentiment I never thought I would see that we would be delighted to get a 0-0 at home to Exeter
Shows to me how far we have sunk

Re: Pompey vs Exeter
On a run like we are, the first thing we need to do is get back to looking solid. On the run we are currently on a win will feel like a win for the players and we can start to rebuild the confidence.
Assuming we get a new manager in the next day or so it won't give them long with the players before the weekend so not much time to impose their ideas. Getting back to basics is what's needed in the immediate term.

Re: Pompey vs Exeter
Irrespective of how it sounds its where we are currently.
Our new Manager doesn't have a magic wand so fans shouldnt expect to turn up Saturday expecting free flowing football and as has been said already our immediate priority is to become difficult to beat. Back to basics approach, be organsised, get your distances & press triggers right etc..
