Reading are moving the away allocation from the South Stand to the upper West Stand next season to they say improve the atmosphere by them being further from the pitch
However they also state it enables them to charge away supporters more than home supporters as they say it will maximize income from those supporters
However this reduces away allocation from about 4000 to 2000 unless demand is there then overflow will go to the old south stand position
at a lower price
I can’t see this working with clubs like us with a large away following as surely people will be tempted to hold back in the hope of securing the lower price better positioned seats
Makes a mockery of their support for the £20 is enough that they supported last season for away fans
