Will Norris (29yo) Keeper Signs

Three year deal too so looks like he is here to at least compete for the no.1 jersey
Mousinho is quoted as saying "...he is looking to cement his place in the Pompey team". Not sure what this means for Macey but it is positive to sign a keeper early on day one of the transfer window who is a player with upside (only 29yo as a keeper so still has his prime years ahead of him) but also not a complete young novice of a player. He's 6'5" and has experience of playing games for Ipswich and Peterborough in the last 3-4 years.
He played 24 games last year whilst on loan at Peterborough and played 15 times for Ipswich in 2019/20. Prior to his big move to Burnley as a young keeper he played 84 games for Cambridge over a 5 year period: 2012/17. For those three clubs he has 120+ appearances.

Believe I read today coming in as no 1 so no Macey was a no brainer as free agent unlike Macey

Re: Will Norris (29yo) Keeper Signs
just a thought. Ironically, if he is not a good signing we will all wish he was on a loan and not a three year deal.
I'm glad too though that we seem to have decided to build a team now based on players under contract and then perhaps use loans to supplement the core team thereafter with talent that cannot be obtained permanently, rather than building the first eleven on foundations of sand as we have been doing over the last few seasons.

Goalkeepers traditionally mature at a later age. Wolves & Burnley obviously have seen something but feel he is not Premier League standard, just remeber Pompey are in League One
You can take the man out of Pompey
But you can`t take Pompey out of the man
