When do you start saying this season instead of next season?
For me it’s when first away match tickets are sold
or when I receive my season ticket

Not sure exactly when it ticks over from one to the other, but I think I'm already in the "this season" stage.

But yeah your indicators are pretty good ones, it's mostly about when you can start planning the days at football so maybe when the fixtures come out might be the starting point.

I personally think that the new season starts when the old player contracts end (30th June). Players are therefore on the 'new season' (this season) contracts from 1st July rather than 'last season'
