Portsmouth are going up....finally??

Post by FL Tracker »

Greetings!

I have set up a basic website over the past couple of years tracking League 1.

It gets updated after everyone has played 14 games https://footballleaguepositiontracking ... es-in.html and looking at the last couple of years https://footballleaguepositiontracking. ... oints.html you seem nailed on for a top 6 position.

I use it to bet on top 6 finishes and you and Oxford are nailed on to finish at least in the playoffs.

I am using it to help me learn to code and update it over time but enjoy taking a look.

I love stats like these FL Tracker so thanks for posting. I look forward to your next post after Pompey have played 14 matches. Good luck on your betting based on your stats but may I offer you a little advice. Burton will finish nowhere near the playoffs.

I know....I have to update so much of the data...it is 3 years as I started this project 3 years ago!

It is looking great for you guys. At the moment you are on 2.29 ppg. I will rank the data once everyone has hit 14 matches.

This page shows the highest and lowest ppg the champions had after 14 matches. You can see after 14 games that the lowest ppg for the champions that season was 2.0 and the highest was 2.43. More interestingly, those that finish in the top 2 are no lower than 5 at this point so you are almost in a mini league....https://footballleaguepositiontracking. ... oints.html

It is a pretty safe bet that you will finish in the top 6....unless there is an implosion!

Best of luck!

It's going to be a great season to be a Pompey fan! And after some of the rubbish that has happened to your club over the years you deserve it - enjoy!

Everything points to a top 3 finish at the moment. Historically, the only possible fly in the ointment will be the January transfer window. Adding a cherry to the top of your cake will make all the difference. You don't want Bolton and Oxford throwing a couple of million at their squad as it will make a difference at this level.

Anyway, enjoy the season!
