Re: Oxford game off
Not a surprise would guess it's Morrell Poole Devlin and Lane on our side but Oxford have called their recent games off due to call ups they have a number of international players as well so yet another Tuesday night gameBlueinPLtwenty wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 9:29 am Not sure who but three or more of our Players involved. Re: Oxford game off
it will be interesting to see when this match is rescheduled to.
There are spare Tuesdays in December that could accommodate the game but December is always a busy schedule of course for football anyway because of the quick run of games around Xmas and New Year and the pitches tend to be heavy too.

Re: Oxford game off
1-4 th December is cup second round so that rules 5 th realistically therefore 12th would be saved to cover replays if needed so that only leaves 19th and I doubt if anyone would want that date with 4 games between 23rd Dec. and 1at January to follow as you have noted so it's likely to be next yearJack_Tinn wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 12:28 pm it will be interesting to see when this match is rescheduled to.

Re: Oxford game off
Oxford supporters think their team is having a bit of a 'dip' in form. It makes you wonder whether this would have been a good time to play them.

Re: Oxford game off
I didn't know that, I haven't seen last night's results yet. That's a good win for them, perhaps their 'dip' is over. Maybe a good time not to play them then.BlueinPLtwenty wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 9:02 amThey had a good result last night 2-0 winners at LincolnBlue Walter wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 7:22 am Oxford supporters think their team is having a bit of a 'dip' in form. Re: Oxford game off
Pompey winning at Leyton Orient last night in the Bristol Motors EFL Trophy means that Pompey have a home game on Tuesday 4th December in the round of 32.
Sky have moved the Bolton game the following week from Saturday to Monday 11th so that makes playing a midweek game that week highly unlikely and undesirable.
Seems very unlikely to me that there is any space now in December to allow for the re-arranged game vs Oxford to be accommodated. There really is only Tuesday 19th December but will either team want another midweek game so close to the Christmas run of games of Saturday, Friday, Monday. I can't see it personally. Oxford of course are looking for a new manager too at this point

19th is the club Xmas quiz /party so doubt if that’s likely to be a match day

Re: Oxford game off
good point. Well, if the club has arranged their party/money making enterprise/quiz night for the 19th then we have to rearrange the game for the new year.Pompey55 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 7:52 amJack_Tinn wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 6:15 am Pompey winning at Leyton Orient last night in the Bristol Motors EFL Trophy means that Pompey have a home game on Tuesday 4th December in the round of 32.
