Re: JM Sacked!
With a nice big pay off and a lucrative job just round the corner. I am baffled why all these big clubs clamour for some of these managers. Mourinho, for instance, had one good spell with Porto and then has several jobs off the back of that which usually end in the sack.

Re: JM Sacked!
How many managers have never had the sack? Plus has he been sacked from all those jobs and not left some to go onto new pastures?Blue Walter wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 1:32 pmThen he gets the sack.Portchesterblue2 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 1:11 pmone good spell with Porto?Blue Walter wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 12:34 pm With a nice big pay off and a lucrative job just round the corner. Not saying I necessarily approve of him but to suggest one good spell at Porto is being a tad dramatic.

Re: JM Sacked!
well if he is mediocre and gets the sack, any manager who has never won a trophy might as well pack it all in and give up thenBlue Walter wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 1:32 pmThen he gets the sack.Portchesterblue2 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 1:11 pmone good spell with Porto?Blue Walter wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 12:34 pm With a nice big pay off and a lucrative job just round the corner. Don’t give our management any more cost cutting ideas

Re: JM Sacked!
Yes I suppose you are right it was rather an exaggerated reply. He has obviously got something that attracts suitors, apparently he is an excellent coach. Winning everything in Portugal is obviously impressive but in Spain generally one of two teams will rule the roost there. He would never take a job where he hasn't got millions to spend on players, which doesn't guarantee success of course but it makes the job much easier. He favours a style of play which I dislike a lot. When he was at Chelsea and up against Barcelona, where they had won the first leg narrowly, he set up his team to defend for the home leg and lost quite emphatically. He is never out of work long but then he generally leaves with the sack and an acrimonious exit, after spending millions.Pompey1984+1 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 1:40 pmHow many managers have never had the sack?
